Thunder Mountain, Lower Back of the Shack. Hardtail vs DH bike. I need to push harder on dh bike.
The rim strike was actually from the DH bike, not the hardtail. I was shocked by the results. I was expecting the dh bike to be a few seconds faster before I started editing. The dh bike sure felt a lot more in control though.

This is a size large frame. I am 5'9, I am surprised that the 480 reach didn't feel big at all, and that I was able to use all 210mm drop with a 440mm seat tube length. He did have 160mm 5dev cranks on which affords me a few mm here and there. My Honzo ESD is a size medium with a 465mm reach and 380mm seat tube with a 200mm dropper that has like 1.5 inches sticking out past the collar with 165m...

    Good afternoon, I bought a trail bike on 29 wheels, but they are different in width one wheel 2.6 the other 2.5, tell me which wheel to put back the wider or that a little narrower? thanks.

    • @s14tat
      @s14tat 7 днів тому

      You want the wider tire in the front. Reason is that it is easier to recover from a rear slide then a front slide. Once the front wheel loses grip, you are pretty much crashing. If the back tire loses grip as you see in this video at 5:17 it recoverable. I actually do have the rear end come out on me quit a bit and if your body weight is in the proper position, it usually recovers.

    • @s14tat
      @s14tat 27 днів тому

      I wonder why your piglet felt harsh. I just tried the 2023 blue pig and it felt fine. I also had the previous big Al and my friend with this big Al had the previous Marley. They all rode great and I took them all to the bike park. This current big Al is the only out lier. It has to be the fork causing it to ride like shit. I noticed the fork was harsh as soon as I built this damn thing riding around the street. So imagine what it must have felt like riding the bike park with it. Once I finished doing a basic tune on it, it felt okay at the trails but man this is hands down the worst fork out of the lyrik ultimate and ohlins. But I will not give up on messing with it. I know that this fork is well loved for a reason.

      I was going 50% capacity. That trail gets rowdy for a hardtail at a Dec speed

      @@joseulloa8769 way to show off Jose. Lol I could go a little more faster if I know the trail better. But maybe by only 5-10% at most

    Nice video. May I ask what fork you are riding? I am looking for a new one on my Ragley Bigwig. Pretty similar to the ESD.

      I am running a ohlins rxf36 m.2, I was running a red 2020 lyrik ultimate with the b1 air spring. They both are very good. The lyrik was softer off the top, the ohlins has much more support. The lyrik is far easier to setup. The ohlins took me a month to dial in.
